Our Story
Our mission is to bring to life the perfect piece of furniture you’ve been envisioning for your space.
Nashville Custom Furniture was born out of a love for creating and building custom pieces of furniture for our friends and family. We have moved homes many times and with each new place we discovered our current furnishings would not work for the new space. We tried shopping online and in local stores with not much luck. Many items we found were not made with great quality wood or craftsmanship so we knew it would not withstand years of love, kids, dogs, and dinner parties. We also had a difficult time finding pieces we really loved for the price; or it was the wrong size or style we were wanting.
I have been crafting pieces of furniture for our home for years. We then began to hear from family and friends their same frustrations when it came to searching for home furnishings. With a degree in engineering and business, I began to sit down with our friends over a glass of good whiskey and help them design a custom piece of furniture that fit their vision for their home and family that would be sure to last for years to come.
My wife, Liz, our two sons and I moved back to the Nashville area (where I grew up) from Asheville, NC in 2015 to be closer to family and friends. We love spending time with our family, being outside as much as possible, and keeping up with the latest trends in home design and woodworking. We value community and building relationships with new people. This is why our process when working with clients is so different and what we believe to be the missing piece in creating and building custom pieces of furniture.
We take time to get to know each client we work with to ensure the vision and final product are exactly what they want. We meet with you in person or virtually to go over the final details and drawings of your piece before I begin to build it. I take great care and precision to make sure your custom piece has the quality craftsmanship our grandparents used to know. After your piece is finished, we are happy to offer delivery.
